As part of Kenai Performers’ mission, education through teaching and mentorship is an important part of our work. Young people may participate in summer day camps and workshops. Kenai Performers also offers workshops for adults led by theatre professionals from Alaska and from Outside. We encourage families, adults and youth to learn by auditioning for stage roles and by volunteering for technical roles in our productions. As people gain experience, they become mentors to other theatre practitioners, teaching etiquette, stagecraft and skills by working with others. People of all ages can become involved as actors, designers, directors, set crew, lighting and sound operators, producers, stage managers and much more.
